Grand Anse Beach From the Air

I took this picture from the helicopter just moments after we left the heliport across the street from the Grand Anse college campus as we headed out over the bay to the north.

The line in the beach sand which parallels the shore for a distance in the bottom of the photo is more Concertina (Army type Barbed) Wire.  In the palm trees behind that was the Holiday Inn, which was fully booked up by the XVIII (18th) Airborne Corp for use as office and barracks space.
